Report a Repair
IDAA has a staffing team which includes people who are responsible for following up on all requests when things are damaged or not working. IDAA work closely with a panel of contractors who help us to maintain our properties.

The after-hours service will only respond to reports involving the failure or breakdown of an essential service that will affect your safety or security. For example failures in the supply of gas, electricity and water.
If the damage has been caused by extreme weather, for example flood or storm damage, please contact emergency services.
When reporting a repair please give us as much detail as you can. The IDAA staff member taking the call uses this information to decide what type of contractor to send to your home.
It is important that you allow contractors to access your property to undertake repairs and maintenance.
About My Rent
IDAA will offer a range of payment methods including:
- Centrepay: the preferred payment option for tenants who manage their own finances
- Direct Debit: managed by IDAA and processed on a Fortnightly Basis
- Electronic Funds Transfer: to the IDAA bank account
Cash, cheques or money order payments are strongly discouraged and will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and is not an ongoing regular payment option. If a tenant makes a payment via one of these methods a receipt will immediately be issued.
Finding it Hard to Pay the Rent?
If you are finding it hard the rent and are worried about falling behind in your payments you should contact IDAA as soon as you can. IDAA will help you to develop an agreement to pay off any money you owe at a reasonable rate. However, if you fail to keep to the terms of the agreement IDAA may take action under the Residential Tenancies act which could result in you losing your home.
There are a number of non-government organisations that offer financial counselling. IDAA will assist you to access financial counselling should you want help in managing your money.
What if my Income Changes?
It is your responsibility to notify IDAA of any changes in your income and/or family circumstances.
If you receive Centrelink payments, you will also need to advise Centrelink of any change in income and/or family circumstances so your payments and Commonwealth Rent Assistance payments can be reviewed.
Requests to Keep a Pet at the Property
IDAA considers requests for pets on a case by case basis. If you would like a pet you need to contact IDAA to discuss the request.
